EMDR Therapy
What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a well researched structured experiential & mindful form of psychotherapy that goes deeper beyond the potential limits of traditional talk therapy. EMDR honors all parts of our body which may continue to hold painful and/or traumatic experiences. EMDR is also helpful to address/manage other emotional distress (ex: anxiety, depression, grief & loss, etc…).
EMDR’s goal is to facilitate healing and reconnection between parts of us which may be stuck in the pain with our more adaptive self. EMDR therapy may be conducted in a traditional therapy format (ex: 50 min sessions) and/or an intensive format (ex: half day, full day, and consecutive days).
